Tomato soup benefits weight loss. It can be very beneficial for those who are on a weight loss diet. As it is rich in water and fibres so that it keeps you full for A longer time. Dieticians highly recommend tomato soup to burn off extra calories and fat deposits from the body. In spite of being rich in nutrients like vitamins, minerals, protein and fibre, tomatoes are low in calories.....
Tomato soup is a warming and healing soup for kids and adults. If you are suffering from cold or cough then this healing tomato soup with tulsi leaves (holy basil) is the best immune boosting soup. Check it out my recipe below......
1/2 inch ginger
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 onion(cut into quarters)
4-5 Coriander stalks
1-2 green chilli
1/2 carrot
4 ripe tomatoes
1 tbsp salt(pink Himalayan salt)
A small piece of cinnamon
1/8 tbsp turmeric powder
1/4 tbsp black pepper powder
Chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp arrowroot powder
1 tbsp sugar
A spring of tulsi leaves to garnish each bowl of soup or else you can garnish by coriander leaves......
Step 1- Take a pressure cooker and add tomatoes, carrot, onion,coriander stalks, green chili, cloves of garlic and add 1/2 tsp pink Himalayan salt, 3 cups of water and for flavor add a small piece of cinnamon.
Step 2- Once the steam comes or after the 1st whistle put the flame on the lowest for 10 mins. And then turn off the heat. And allow the pressure cooker to depressurize. Let's get some tulsi leaves (holy basil which boost immunity, balances hormones, lowers stress and it's a great source of vit k and helps to improve the respiratory issues. )
Step 3-Chop coriander leaves to garnish the soup and to add flavor to it. Let's check the soup. Now open the cooker and you can blend it through a blending stick or you can blend it through a blender jar but allow the soup to cool down before pouring it into the blender jar. Once it nicely blended pour the soup back into the cooker. And switch on the flame. Add 1/8 tbsp of turmeric powder, 1/4 tbsp of black pepper powder, 1/2 tbsp of salt then mix it well. Once the soup starts boiling put the flame lower and add chopped coriander leaves.If you want a spicy soup then add 1/2 chopped green chili then you can add arrowroot powder which help to thicken the soup(arrowroot powder helps in digestion boosts immunity low in calories helps to prevent anaemia as it is rich in iron and copper.) Mix it well. At last add apple cider vinegar which works as wonder in weight loss.
Step 4-Add 1 spoon of apple cider vinegar if you don't have it then you can add 1/2 tbsp of lemon juice into it.
My immune boosting healing diet soup is now ready to serve. Transfer it into a soup bowl then garnish it with 3 springs of tulsi leaves or else you can garnish it with coriander leaves.
